DPWH completes P47.4-M Daang Maharlika road widening project
REINA MERCEDES, Isabela – The Department of Public Works and Highways-Isabela 3rd District Engineering Office recently completed the P 47.4-million widening of the Daang Maharlika road in Barangay Sinippil here.

It involved expanding the road from two to four lanes with a total length of 1.39 kilometers with a width of 3.35 meters and thickness of 300 millimeters.
District Engineer Adonis A. Asis told DPWH-Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) Director Reynaldo C. Alconcel that the project promises smoother travel to Reina Mercedes and its neighboring areas.
Asis said the project also provides improved movement of goods and services and bolsters socio-economic activities.
“This project also covered the concreting of road shoulders, installation of solar-powered street lights, and strategic placement of signages to enhance road safety,” Asis added.
