Rising actor Beaver Magtalas is thrilled with the tremendous success of his debut movie, When Magic Hurts, which had its red carpet premiere in Cabanatuan on May 12.

Thousands of people flocked to the premiere night at NE Pacific Mall in his hometown, and all three movie theaters were packed.

Mutya Orquia and Maxine Trinidad, the two leading ladies of Beaver, were also the targets of cheers from screaming fans. Both the Beaver-Maxine duo and the Beaver-Mutya love team have a following.

The three main actors appreciate the public’s support for their movie. “I’m incredibly grateful that I have the chance.”

The three lead stars are so grateful for the support for their film. “I’m really happy that I was given the chance to show it here. Of course, this is my first big movie, so I want to show it to fellow Nueva Ecijano people and my friends and family here. Hindi na nila kailangan mag-travel to Manila to see it,” said Beaver.

Even Maxine was overwhelmed by the number of Beaver’s supporters in Nueva Ecija and the entire cast.

“Their love for Beaver is so intense. What is amazing about Nueva Ecija is that their support is great for Beaver and the entire cast. So, it’s very heartwarming. And that’s it; when they see Beaver, sometimes they call him Earnest because he’s Earnest in real life,” said Maxine.

In the movie, Beaver’s character’s name happens to be Earnest.

Because Beaver’s love team has their fans in his two leading ladies, the Star Hunt talent was asked who he bet in real life between Mutya and Maxine. Beaver laughed and said that the question was difficult.

“Maybe, now, work first. The choice now is work,” he said, laughing.

But Beaver said he was very happy to be working with these two beautiful ladies, and they all enjoyed doing the film, especially since it was shot in the breathtaking mountain and garden views of Atok, Benguet.
