Over P700,000 shabu seized in Caloocan buy-bust

Members of the Northern Police District (NPD) seized some P728,960 worth of shabu and arrested two male drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City.

Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) operatives identified the arrested suspects as John Simballa alias “Boboy”, 31, a resident of Barangay Gen. T. De Leon, Valenzuela City, and Christian Babon, 25, a resident of Caloocan City.

Operatives conducted the buy-bust operation following a tip from a concerned citizen on the illegal drug peddling activities of the suspects along Riverside Libis, Baesa, Barangay 160, Caloocan City at 4:44 p.m., on Sunday, May 12.

A police officer posed as a buyer and successfully bought P500 worth of shabu from the suspects.

They were immediately arrested following the transaction.

Police confiscated from them 107.2 grams of shabu worth P728,960 and the buy-bust money.

They will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Acts of 2002, police said.
