Man killed in Ilocos Sur motorcycle accident

SINAIT, Ilocos Sur – An 18-year-old man died when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a passenger van on the national highway in Barangay Magsaysay here on Sunday night, May 12.

Police identified the victim as Mark Nelson T. Inong from Barangay Sallacapo, Sinait.

Investigation said the victim’s motorcycle encroached the lane of a Toyota Hi-Ace van that resulted into a head-on collision.

Inong died from serious injuries on the way to the hospital.

The van driver, Rica Mae Q. Rodriquez, 20, from Barangay Darao, San Juan, Ilocos Sur, is under police custody while a follow-up investigation is ongoing.
