A 44-year-old man was killed by his brother-in-law during their family celebration of Mother's Day in San Andres Bukid, Manila, on Sunday, May 12.
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as alias "JR."
Investigation disclosed that the family were having a karaoke session and drinking spree when the suspect suddenly shouted and caused commotion.
They said the victim, Ronaldo Pugayong, attempted to pacify the situation but the suspect suddenly punched the suspect.
Due to strong impact, the head of the victim hit the wall.
Police said the victim was immediately brought by the family to the nearest hospital where he died due to severe head injuries.
Authorities said the suspect is currently under the custody of the MPD. They said the incident is still under investigation.
