The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has joined forces with a foreign non-government organization to enhance services for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
In the agreement with Data Flow Group, the DMW has committed to enhancing efficiency, transparency, security, and delivering ease of service for OFWs through innovative technological solutions.
DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac and Mr. Sunil Kumar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Data Flow Group, signed the agreement on Thursday, May 9, at the DMW’s Mandaluyong Head Office.
"We are proud to continue the visionary work of the late Secretary Susan Ople, focusing on digitalizing the department's processes and expanding the reach of the OFW pass. This partnership with Data Flow Group addresses critical limitations in our current database infrastructure by transitioning to a cloud-based platform courtesy of the generous Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services donation. This transition enhances our storage and computing capabilities and significantly improves our online systems for better service delivery to OFWs," said Cacdac.
Kumar stressed the commitment of Data Flow Group to maintaining exceptional service and fostering innovation.
"As we've evolved over the years, our dedication to innovation has spurred the development of cutting-edge solutions like TrueProfile, CrossCheck, DigiFlow, and Digital Footprint. These tools exemplify our commitment to seamless, reliable, and comprehensive verification services, meeting the dynamic needs of our global clientele while adhering to the highest regulatory standards," he said.
The collaboration has the potential to revolutionize the way in which support and services are provided to OFWs.
This will be accomplished through essential strategies including Digital Transformation, Enhanced Data Management, Capacity Building and Training, and the Development of Policies and Programs.
Cacdac said the partnership is geared towards enhancing the operational efficiency of the DMW and providing better support to OFWs during their employment process through the adoption of international best practices and meeting the changing requirements of migrant workers worldwide.
