Cordillera police net P387-M marijuana, shabu, 11 drug pushers

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet â€“ The Police Regional Office-Cordillera seized suspected shabu and marijuana worth P387.6 million from May 6 to 12.

Eleven suspected drug pushers were arrested in 12 buy-bust operations during the period.

The suspects yielded a total of 323.65 grams of shabu and 55 milliliters of marijuana oil valued at P2.2 million.

The Baguio City Police Office arrested four drug personalities, Kalinga Police Provincial Office, three; and Abra PPO, Apayao PPO, Benguet PPO, and Mountain Province PPO, one each.

Seven were streel-level individuals and four were high-value individuals.

Suspects face drug-related charges.

Police discovered and destroyed 1,692,360 fully grown marijuana plants, 391,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops, and 1,200 marijuana seedlings worth P385.4 million in a series of eradication operations in Benguet and Kalinga.

The PRO-Cordillera said they continue to conduct barangay visitations and informational campaigns to bolster their anti-illegal drug campaign.
