Cebu town imposes 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew following murder of teenage girl
CEBU CITY – A municipal-wide curfew has been enforced in Liloan town, northern Cebu following a roadside shooting incident that claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl last week.
Liloan Mayor Aljew Frasco announced that the curfew, which took effect last Friday, May 10, will be from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The decision to enforce curfew was made following an “extensive deliberation and consultation” with the police and municipal council, Frasco said.
“To the parents of Liloan, I implore you to exercise heightened vigilance, particularly over children aged 17 and below. Your guidance and supervision are paramount in ensuring their safety and well-being,” said Frasco.
Frasco urged establishments to refrain from selling cigarettes or alcoholic beverages to minors.
Those who will be caught selling alcoholic drinks to minors will be penalized, the mayor warned.
The mayor expressed sympathy to the family of the victims of the May 9 shooting.
The attack happened around 4 a.m. The girl and his friends were shot by motorcycle-riding assailants while they were having a drinking session outside a convenience store.
“My heart goes out to the bereaved family, and I offer my sincerest condolences during this difficult time,” the mayor added.
Five suspects are already in police custody. Police said that the motive of the attack was gang-related as the alleged perpetrators and victims belonged to youth gangs “Bloods” and “Crips.”
Frasco commended the police for arresting four suspects less than 24 hours after the attack.
