Kalinga cops net P4.4-M shabu, marijuana

TABUK CITY, Kalinga â€“ Police seized shabu valued at more than P2 million and arrested two suspected drug pushers in buy-bust operations in Barangay Nambaran here on May 10.

SUSPECTED shabu, guns, and bullets were seized in buy-bust operations in Tabuk City, Kalinga on May 10.

A 62-year-old man listed as a street-level individual was caught with 300 grams of suspected shabu valued at more than P2 million and 55 milliliters of marijuana oil worth P12,100.

The suspect also yielded an M16A1 Colt AR15 rifle, magazines, and bullets.

Recovered from the other suspect, a 31-year-old man tagged as a street-level individual, were five grams of shabu valued at P34,000, an AR15 Colt 5.56 rifle, and 87 bullets.

Meanwhile, 12,000 fully grown marijuana plants worth P2.4 million was discovered and destroyed in an operation in Barangay Loccong, Tinglayan, this province.

The eradication operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit, Tinglayan Municipal Police Station (MPS), 2nd Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Kalinga.
