Iloilo police officer killed in motorcycle accident

ILOILO CITY – A police officer died in a motorcycle accident last May 10 in this city.

DOMINGO

Police Major Sullen Domingo was hailed for his more than 20 years in service.

“We mourn the untimely passing of Police Major Sullen Bolinas Domingo,” the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) said in a statement.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time,” added the IPPO led by officer-in-charge Police Col. Bayani Razalan.

Domingo, supply officer of the IPPO, was on his way home when the accident happened near the high school campus of a university in Jaro District.

The victim was driving a motorcycle when he crashed into a senior high school student crossing a street.

Domingo was thrown off and landed approximately eight feet away from his motorcycle and hit a nearby post.

He entered the service in 2003 and rose through the ranks.

Domingo served as police chief of five towns in Iloilo province – San Miguel in 2022, Cabatuan in 2017, Barotac Viejo in 2016, Batad in 2016, and Barotac Nuevo in 2014.
