The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 36 areas may still experience a heat index that is considered “dangerous” on Monday, May 13.

The heat index in Aparri, Cagayan may reach 47°C, while it may reach 46°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Roxas City, Capiz; and Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Meanwhile, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; ISU Echague, Isabela; and Iloilo City, Iloilo may experience a 45°C heat index.
PAGASA added that Bacnotan, La Union; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Cuyo, Palawan; and Dumangas, Iloilo may have a heat index of 44°C.

Meanwhile, a 43°C heat index may be recorded in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City, Metro Manila; MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte; Baler (Radar), Aurora; Aborlan, Palawan; Virac (Synop), Catanduanes; Catarman, Northern Samar; Catbalogan, Samar; and Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.
PAGASA added that Science Garden Quezon City, Metro Manila; Sinait, Ilocos Sur; NVSU Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; Iba, Zambales; Casiguran, Aurora; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay Olongapo City; Ambulong, Tanauan Batangas; Daet, Camarines Norte; Masbate City, Masbate; CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur; Siquijor, Siquijor; Tacloban City, Leyte; Borongan, Eastern Samar; Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur may experience a heat index of 42°C.
