Senator Francis Tolentino has expressed satisfaction over the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration's (PAGASA) decision to heed his call to include clothing color recommendations in their weather updates.
During the SOS program on DZRH, Tolentino appealed to Analiza Solis, Chief of Climate Monitoring and Prediction at PAGASA, to consider giving dress code or clothing color suggestions to Filipinos.
For instance, he said that during hot weather, light colors such as white are recommended, while dark colors are suggested for rainy conditions.
Tolentino said that this approach would make it easier for the public to understand the weather conditions and choose the appropriate attire whenever they leave their homes.
Solis pledged to include icons in their weather updates to clearly indicate the recommended clothing based on the weather conditions.
She also thanked the senator for his suggestion.
