The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 25 areas experienced “dangerous” heat indices on Saturday, May 11.

PAGASA said a heat index of 46 Degree Celsius (°C) was felt in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Aparri, Cagayan; and Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Followed by a heat index of 44°C in MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte; Cuyo, Palawan; Virac (Synop), Catanduanes; Roxas City, Capiz; Dumangas, Iloilo; Borongan, Eastern Samar; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur.
It also said a heat index of 43°C was recorded in Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Sangley Point, Cavite; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; and CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur.

A heat index of 42°C was felt in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Pasay City, Metro Manila; Bacnotan, La Union; Alabat, Quezon; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Legazpi City, Albay; Masbate City, Masbate; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Catarman, Northern Samar; Tacloban City, Leyte; and Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.
