GMA Regional TV heats up summer with back-to-back surprises

The summer fever is on, and GMA Network – through its regional arm, GMA Regional TV –  has further set April ablaze by bringing the hottest Kapuso stars to headline the biggest festivals across the region.

Up north, this year’s celebration of the Mango-Bamboo Festival was made extra special as Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista serenaded the candidates of Miss San Carlos City 2024 last April 12. It was truly a night of elegance as Sparkle artist Ysabel Ortega sat as one of the judges during the coronation night at San Carlos City Public Auditorium, San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

Adding fun and excitement to the sweet celebration of the Mango-Bamboo Festival last April 15 at San Carlos City Public Auditorium were “Shining Inheritance” stars Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Roxie Smith, and Michael Sager and “Lilet Matias Attorney-at-Law” actors Jason Abalos and EA Guzman.

Meanwhile,  Chef JR Royol of “Farm to Table” brought some cooking inspiration to the Pangasinenses with his special participation at the Ponsia: The Pangasinan Culinary Challenge for Pistay Dayat 2024 last April 13 at Provincial Training and Development Center II, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The celebration of Pistay Dayat 2024 last April 20 was made even more remarkable through the surprises and performances of Sparkle star Kelvin Miranda, “Asawa ng Asawa Ko” cast Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Joem Bascon, and Martin Del Rosario, and “Abot-Kamay na Pangarap” stars Jillian Ward, Jeff Moses, and Pinky Amador. Making the evening even livelier was Vaness del Moral, host of the Kapuso Fiesta at Capitol Beach Park, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Further making the Pistay Dayat Festival memorable was "Makiling" star Derrick Monsterio, who serenaded the candidates and audiences during the Limgas na Pangasinan Coronation Night last April 26 at Capitol Plaza, Lingayen Pangasinan. It was a night of ethereal beauty and elegance as Miss Universe 2023 Michelle Dee sat as one of the judges of the pageant. Showcasing his exceptional hosting skills was “24 Oras” “Game Changer” segment host Martin Javier.

Giving goosebumps at the much-anticipated singing competition Takayan na Dayew last April 29 at Capitol Beach Park, Lingayen, Pangasinan were “All-Out Sunday” artists Anthony Rosaldo and Jeremiah Tiangco.

The celebration of Pistay Dayat continued as Sparkle star Lianne Valentin and "Widows’ War" actor Juancho Triviño grooved to the beat of the streets at the Gayaga: Pangasinan Festival Street Dance Exhibition last May 1 at the Capitol Plaza, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

Sparkle stars Andrea Torres and Kaloy Tingcungco, and “Abot-Kamay na Pangarap star” Richard Yap, bannered the Kapuso Fiesta last April 17 at Tarlac City Plazuela, Tarlac in celebration of Tarlac City’s Charter Anniversary. The event was made even more spectacular and one-of-a-kind as they were joined by “Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law” stars Jason Abalos, Zonia Mejia, and Joaquin Domagoso. Hosting the event was Kapuso artist Chariz Solomon.

The fun-filled April did not stop there as Carla Abellana, Paul Salas, Mikee Quintos, Carlo San Juan, and Larkin Castor, together with Kapuso host Boobay, shared love and laughter with their fans during the Kapuso Fiesta last April 21 at the Capitol VIP Grandstand, Cabarroguis, Quirino in celebration of the Motorino Festival.

In Western Visayas, Hannah Precillas, Prince Clemente, Bruce Roeland, and Pekto entertain the crowd during the Kapuso Fiesta in celebration of Kinalipay sa Isabela last April 25 at Socio-Cultural Center, Isabela, Negros Occidental.

On the same day, Martin del Rosario, Angela Alarcon, and Jon Lucas spread love and good vibes at the Sina-ot Festival through a Kapuso Fiesta in President Roxas Public Plaza, Capiz.

“Lilet Matias: Attorney at Law” stars Jason Abalos, Zonia Mejia, and EA Guzman, together with Boobay and Pepita Curtis of “The Boobay and Tekla Show” lit up the Pasalamat Festival through a Kapuso Fiesta last April 26 in La Carlota Festival Park, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.

Back in Luzon, Batangueños were treated to a star-studded Kapuso Mall Show at The Outlets at Lipa, Lipa City, Batangas last April 27. Gracing the mall show were “Running Man PH” runners Buboy Villar, Kokoy de Santos, Lexi Gonzales, and Angel Guardian; “Pepito Manaloto” stars Jake Vargas, Mosang, and Sophia Senoron;  “Asawa ng Asawa Ko” stars Rayver Cruz and Bruce Roeland; and “Abot-Kamay ng Pangarap” stars Raheel Bhyria and Kazel Kinouchi. Adding a dose of fun to the event was Kapuso host Maey Bautista.

Kapuso stars Katrina Halili, Royce Cabrera, Mikee Quintos, and Radson Flores likewise spread their radiating positive energy to their fans in Western Visayas as they bannered the Kapuso Fiesta in celebration of the Pagbana-ag Festival last April 28 at the Pagbana-ag People’s Activity Center, Hinoba-an Negros Occidental.

Adding kilig to the coronation of Ms. Zambowood 2024 last April 29 at Fonda Grounds, Barangay Zambowood, Zamboanga City were Kapuso artists Yasser Marta and Juancho Triviño who showcased some heart-fluttering performances on stage.

April would only be complete with the festive celebration of the Bangus Festival featuring some of the hottest Kapuso artists.

The Kapuso Fiesta, held on April 30 at GMA Stage, De Venecia Road Extension, Dagupan City, featured “Makiling” lead actors Derrick Monasterio and Elle Villanueva; “Running Man PH” runners Buboy Villar, Lexi Gonzales, Angel Guardian, and Glaiza de Castro; “The Boobay and Tekla Show” stars Boobay and Pepita Curtis; and Kapuso artist Anthony Rosaldo. Kapuso host Maey Bautista added fun to the fiesta.

Capping off the blazing hot Kapuso events in April was the participation of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Gomez at the coronation night of  Hangaway kag Lin-ay sang Capiz 2024 last April 30 at Capiz Gymnasium, Roxas City, Capiz.
