Pag-IBIG: Housing loan borrowers to benefit from lower interest rates

Housing loan borrowers planning to avail of units under the Pambansang Pabahay (4PH) program would enjoy an even lower interest rate, the Pag-IBIG Fund said.

Jacqueline Constantino, Pag-IBIG Fund Department Manager III for Institutional Housing Dept. Corporate Sales Group,  said the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) will subsidize up to five percent of the loan’s outstanding interest rate.

This will make the interest rate even lower than what Pag-IBIG Fund currently provides, which is considered the lowest in the market, she added.

Constantino said Filipino workers can avail of the Pambansang Pabahay program by applying for a special Pag-Ibig housing loan under 4PH, and by coordinating with their local government housing board so they may be listed under the 4PH program’s pre-identified applicants.

“Nagsusumikap kaming ipatupad ang aming housing agenda upang makakuha ng abot-kaya at mapupuntahan na mga pagkakataon sa pabahay para sa lahat ng manggagawang Pilipino. Sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng mga subsidyo sa mga kwalipikadong indibidwal sa ilalim ng programang 4PH, epektibo nating mapababa ang mga presyo ng mga bahay at buwanang gastos sa amortisasyon (We strive to implement our housing agenda to secure affordable and accessible housing opportunities for all Filipino workers. Providing subsidies to qualified individuals under the 4PH program can successfully lower housing prices and monthly amortization costs),” said Constantino.

Constantino said that 4PH also highlights eco-friendly attributes, offering shared outdoor areas and green spaces, alongside facilities like pools and a basketball court.

She said future homeowners of the Pambansang Pabahay housing units will have the opportunity to live in a thoughtfully designed and self-sustaining community based on a township model.

This structure enables individuals to reside in urban areas with convenient access to retail spaces, schools, hospitals, and other necessary amenities.

Constantino, meanwhile, expressed strong support for the initiative, inviting members to leverage the 4PH program’s benefits.
