BUTUAN CITY – A suspected drug pusher was arrested and shabu valued at P2.3 million was seized during the implementation of a search warrant here on Wednesday, May 8.

Police Regional Office 13-Regional Public Information Office (PRO 13-RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said the 43-year-old suspect, a high-value individual, had been under surveillance by drug intelligence operatives prior to his arrest.
Seized from the suspect were heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.
PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said there is no let-up in the campaign against illegal drugs in the region.
“Caraga police force and PDEA pledge a more intensified drive against the drug menace,” he said. “We will win this fight through the help of the local folks and all stakeholders.”
“We are determined to make Caraga a drug-free region in Mindanao,” he added.
A manhunt is under way for the suspect’s cohorts, Ometer said.
