Parañaque LGU distributes livelihood package to 79 beneficiaries
The city government of Parañaque distributed livelihood packages and kitchen tool kits to 79 beneficiaries as part of the city's Labor Day celebration on May 1.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said six residents were beneficiaries of the DOLE Assisted Livelihood Project of the Department of Labor and Employment in coordination with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
They received barbeque, car wash, and bigasan packages that will help them to earn additional income for their daily needs.

He said the 73 beneficiaries were scholars who graduated from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Cookery NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II.
The mayor said the scholars were given kitchen tool kits and equipment to start their own businesses.
Olivarez said the TESDA scholarship program was made possible through the help of Congressman Edwin Olivarez.

Present during the distribution of the livelihood packages were Councilor Pablo “Paolo” Olivarez, DOLE-Muntaparlas Field Office Director Leonides Castillon Jr., and DOLE NCR Assistant Director Atty. Olivia O. Obrero-Samson.
The mayor also said the awarding of kitchen tool kits and equipment to TESDA scholars was attended and witnessed by TESDA MunTaParLasTaPat Director Atty. Angeline Chaves, Senior Political Officer Kelvin Sanguir who represented Sen. Grace Poe, and Atty. Ding Soriano who represented Cong. Olivarez.
