As the party gears up for the midterm polls next year, President Marcos called on members of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) to avoid too much politicking and unite in providing the best service to the Filipino people to get the upper hand in the elections.

Marcos said this as he led the oathtaking of the 34 new PFP members in Manila on Tuesday, May 1.
In his speech, the President said that since his landslide victory in May 2022, it was evident that Filipinos still clamored for unity.
"Uhaw pa rin ang tao para sa pagkakaisa, talagang sa aking palagay, hanggang ngayon ang tao ayaw na nila nag-aaway. Ayaw na nila ang walang nangyayari dahil puro pulitika na lang ang pinaglalaban (I believe people are still yearning for unity. Until now, they don't like fighting. They don't like that nothing's happening because it's all about politics)," he said.
"Ganoon ang aking naramdaman mula ng Mayo noong 2022 ay para sa akin, maliwanag na maliwanag ‘yan (That's what I've been feeling since May 2022 and that's clear to me)," he added.
Marcos, who is the PFP’s president and national chairperson, hoped that the new members would feel at home in the party and would work with them in serving the people.
"Let us work together, and let us continue to keep in mind that the best way for us to serve our people is to come together and to work as one," he said.

Meanwhile, Marcos asked party members to organize and strengthen the party as it gears up for the midterm elections, saying that the best way to do it is to provide the best service to the people.
For the party to succeed, the President said it has to be organized and the members should maintain constant communication.
"We still have to do the work. We still have to fight hard. There is no easy election. That is something that I’ve learned," he said.
"Magkaroon tayo ng magandang plano hindi lamang para sa national, kundi para sa lahat ng LGU (Let us have a good plan not only for the national but also for the local government units," he added.
According to Marcos, the party will organize a steering committee and forge alliances with different parties, noting other parties were willing to partner with PFP.
Formed in 2018, the PFP is a national political party in the Philippines chaired by President Marcos. During the run-up to the 2022 national elections, the UniTeam Alliance was comprised of PFP, Lakas-CMD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), and Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), with guest candidates from other parties.
