Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla celebrates 29th birthday with abandoned animals

Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla celebrated his 29th birthday by helping abandoned animals in Purok Uno, Arenas, Arayat in Pampanga last April 26.

Fans waited for Daniel, casually dressed in a white sleeveless shirt, brown pants, and rubber shoes. When he arrived at the site, the small crowd sang Happy Birthday to the star.

Despite his star status, Daniel remained humble. He chose not to grant interviews to the media, but he graciously obliged to several selfies with his adoring fans.

"Masaya si Daniel noong pumunta siya sa mga abandoned animals," said Ogie Rodriguez, a family friend of the actor.

Ogie said the actor took a group of veterinarians with him to the site to treat the animals.

"Yung ibang fans tumulong sila kay Daniel sa pagpapaligo ng mga animals. Walang kiyeme si Daniel sa pagpapaligo ng mga abandoned animals," he said.

Almost 100 rescued dogs and 50 cats were present at the site.

Daniel also ordered the construction of a giant cage for the cats. 

Cats and dogs have a soft spot for Daniel, considering they have many pets.

Prior, Daniel treated kids at Child Haus, an institution founded by ‘Mader’ Ricky Reyes, to be a bastion of hope for children stricken by cancer.
