BACOLOD CITY – A 43-year-old man and his 25-year-old son were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Prosperidad, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Monday, April 29.
Police Lt. Col. Nazer Canja, San Carlos City police chief, said the suspects yielded 36.8 grams of suspected shabu worth P250,240, a .45 caliber firearm, a magazine, five bullets, and P3,500 marked money.

Canja said the firearm was owned by the younger suspect and used to protect themselves in their illegal activities.
Police monitored the suspects for two weeks following information from the community about their illegal activities.
The suspects were tagged as street-level individuals and face drug-related and illegal possession of firearms charges.
