Actress Patricia Javier said that she will be taking a break from her acting career to assist her husband, Dr. Rob Walcher, an American chiropractor, at their wellness clinics.

During a recent press conference to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their wellness centers in Quezon City, Patricia said she enjoys being hands-on with their business.

“Siya pa nga po ang nagsasabi sa akin na, 'Asawa, I married Patricia Javier, the actress. Where is she?' Minsan binibiro po niya ako. Wala po akong problema doon. Siguro ngayon lang po ay wala pong time," Patricia said.

Patricia said she's grateful and blessed that they have established chiropractic clinics nationwide.

"Ten years na kami sa Philippines with my family. I'm grateful na andyan kayo para sa amin since nagsimula kami. Hindi madali ang 10 years na yun but we try to stay positive. We had ups and downs. With the help of God, nakakaraos naman kami.

"We are committed to our mission and have established the Doc Rob Share Your Blessings Foundation to extend our reach to those in need. Our work has already made a significant difference in the lives of many, and we are eager to continue this journey.

"In most cases, our patients also become members of our foundation, which receives a portion of the clinic's proceeds," she said.

Doc Rob added: "We will continue with our chiropractic services and help our kababayan. We are also preparing our kids for our future in chiropractic. They will be enrolled in chiropractic school in the US, eventually coming back and practicing as well."

Patricia admitted she's affected when bashed online but has learned to ignore them. She realized, however, that she was thankful to the bashers for promoting their clinics.

"Hindi ko sila pinapansin. It's so destructive kapag binabasa natin yung mga comments ng bashers. Minsan below the belt na at nakakasakit na talaga.

"For the past eight years, meron talaga kaming isang consistent na basher. Masakit pero sanay na ako. Ako po ang nagdala sa asawa ko rito sa Pilipinas," the actress said.

"Wala siyang ginawa kundi i-bash niya kami. Pero naiisip ko, sa ginawa niyang ito, dapat pasalamatan ko pala siya, dahil pino-promote pa niya kami."

Patricia said their wellness centers are legitimate and her husband is a licensed chiropractor.

"Lahat po ng ginagawa namin dito sa Pilipinas ay legit. Meron kaming license. Tinatawag nila kaming Dr. Quack Quack. Yung asawa po ko nag-aral siya para maging licensed chiropractor. Pero masakit talaga yung sabihan kami ng ganun. But as I've said, we continue what we do at tumutulong na lamang po kami sa kapwa.

"Akala nung iba kami ang nag-start ng chiropractic dito sa Pilipinas. Hindi po. Before us, meron nang iba. Nagkataon lang na nasa showbiz ako at nakatulong ako sa pag promote ng clinic.

"Hindi lahat ng nagpapatunog ng buto, chiropractor na. Sabi rin ng iba, hindi safe ito. So dapat lang talaga na pumunta kayo sa totoong chiropractor," Patricia said.

Dr. Rob recalled the time they settled in the Philippines. "We came here when our kids were young. We planned to spend a few months in the Philippines and practice chiropractic several times. Then, people texted me, and they wanted more of that. So we didn't come here to establish the business. The demand was so high that we decided to establish our clinic here. Once we were here for six months, that's the time we considered staying here and establishing our chiropractic clinic."
