Over 700 brands seeking franchise deals – Lim
More than 700 franchise concepts from different sectors are seeking to expand their businesses in the upcoming Franchise Asia Philippines (FAPHL), according to the industry’s top official.

Chris Lim, chairman of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA), revealed that the region’s largest franchising expo and conference will open on Friday, April 12 to 14 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
"This year, Franchise Asia Expo will feature international exhibitors from Korea, Singapore, Thailand, US and more will introduce their well-established and successful franchises to the Philippine market, providing local entrepreneurs with access to a wide array of business models and strategies from across the globe. There’s even a concept that offers the possibility of getting a US investor visa," Lim said in a statement.
FAPHL is the leading franchise event in the region and continues to be a one-stop shop of business opportunities. This year, Lim said, FAPHL will showcase over 700 brands. The expo will also feature highly franchisable concepts and business solution providers.
Lim said that the 700 plus brands are a mix of local and foreign brands. About 80+ international brands with pavilions from Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Spain, US and more.
In food, there are regional brands expanding nationally as well as various coffee and dessert players. In non food, Lim said that health, tourism and construction related concepts are also exhibiting at the expo.
And in line with PFA's goal of creating more global filipino brands, Lim said "We have a how to expand your franchise globally with both local and intl experts sharing insights."
Thus, they are going to hold seminars on branding, growing your profits, how to franchise a business and how to invest in a franchise.
“As Asia’s biggest franchise show, this premier event will bring together a diverse range of homegrown and global franchise brands, offering a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and aspiring franchisees to explore innovative business concepts and investment opportunities in food, retail and service,” said Lim.
He added that the seminars and workshops are tailored to provide invaluable insights and practical knowledge for entrepreneurs and prospective franchisees. The seminars will cover various topics essential for building and managing successful franchise businesses, offering participants the chance to learn from industry experts and network with like-minded individuals.
"There's always something new in frsnchise asia. And it's a window to the latest trends in franchising," said Lim.
Now on its 31st year, Franchise Asia Philippines is PFA’s flagship activity to promote franchising as a tool to create businesses and jobs. It has been averaging 50,000 visitors every year, which is a testament to the Filipinos continued confidence in franchising as a way to start a business.
