PAGASA records 'dangerous' heat indices in 6 areas on April 8
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said six areas in the country had “dangerous” heat indices on Monday, April 8.

PAGASA said a heat index of 44°C was felt in Dagupan, Pangasinan, and Bacnotan, La Union followed by a heat index of 43°C in Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; and Aborlan, Palawan.
It also recorded a heat index of 42°C in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, based on PAGASA’s two-day heat index forecast, six areas may also have “dangerous” heat indices on Tuesday, April 9.
PAGASA said a heat index of 44°C in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; a heat index of 43°C in Puerto Princesa City and Aborlan Palawan; and a heat index of 42°C in Bacnotan, La Union; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur may be felt on April 9.
On Wednesday, April 10, seven areas may have “dangerous” heat indices including Dagupan City, Pangasinan at 44°C; Bacnotan, La Union; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Aborlan, Palawan at 43°C; Clark Aiport, Pampanga; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; and Cotabato City, Maguindanao at 42°C.
PAGASA said heat stroke is possible with these kinds of heat indices, thus, staying hydrated and avoiding unnecessary outdoor activities are relevant.
