NCR's No. 4 most wanted for statutory rape arrested

The National Capital Region's (NCR) Top 4 most wanted individual for the crime of statutory rape was arrested by operatives of the Eastern Police District (EPD).

The police identified the suspect as 19-year-old "Josh," a resident of Tanza, Navotas City.

According to the police, Josh was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Navotas City RTC Branch 9 Family Court Presiding Judge Hon. Cecilia Bunagan Parallag dated February 13. The suspect was nabbed in Portofino Heights Village, Barangay Almanza Dos, Las PiÃ±as City.

The suspect was brought to the EPD Intelligence Office for documentation and was later turned over to the Pasig City Police.

EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta lauded the operatives for Josh's arrest.

"Indeed, the outmost dedication and commitment of the men and women of the Eastern Police District continuously empower its mandate to serve and protect its people. The EPD will continue its solid campaign against criminality and lawlessness to ensure peace and order in the community," Asueta said.
