More than P380,000 shabu seized in QC buy-bust ops


Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized a total of P381,200 worth of shabu and arrested 12 drug peddlers in separate buy-bust operations in Quezon City.

In the first operation, operatives of QCPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) identified the suspect as Cecil Jueves, 46, a resident of Barangay Santa Monica, Novaliches, Quezon City.


Jueves was nabbed in an entrapment operation at her residence at around 11:30 p.m., on April 7.


Police confiscated from Jueves 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, a cellular phone, a black coin purse, and the buy-bust money.


The Batasan Police Station (PS 6) said suspects Gilbert Collantes, Mary Jane Gabrino, and Richard Silvestre were arrested in a buy-bust operations in Barangay Commonwealth and Batasan Hills, Quezon City at around 2:30 a.m., and 8:30 a.m., respectively. 


Authorities confiscated two grams of shabu worth P13,600 from the three suspects.


Moreover, operatives from Masambong Police Station (PS 2), Talipapa Police Station (PS 3), Galas Police Station (PS 11), and Payatas Bagong Silangan (PS 13) nabbed seven suspects identified as John Cedrik Santos, 29, of Barangay San Antonio, Quezon City; Romel Villar, 43; and Rodilo Condino, 35, both residents of Barangay Balon-bato, Quezon City; Giant Franco Pelayre, 41,a resident of Barangay Damayang Lagi, Quezon City; Arvin Natural, 26; Victorio Kinkito Jr, 37; and Rogelio Navilla, 57, both residents of Barangay Payatas B, Quezon City.


Authorities confiscated a total of 39 grams of shabu worth P265,200.


Police said the arrested suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
