Acer raises the bar with the Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios 18

The Predator Helios 16 and 18, both enhanced by INVIDIA DLSS 3, offer peak gaming performance with their cutting-edge cooling system, vibrant Mini LED display, and precision of the patented, swappable MagKey 3.0: MagClick and MagSpeed.

The Predator Helios 16 and 18 are the first Predator Helios laptops 

available with 16:10 displays and a selection of modern panels, including mini LED options with zone dimming.

These mini LED displays, a more advanced kind of LCD LED panels, are relatively new in the laptop scene. Mini LED panels are a special type of full-array lit panels, with an array of small LED sources spread over the screen. 

The Predator Helios 16 and 18 models are built on the latest Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX (14th Gen) and Nvidia RTX 4000 specs, with capable cooling designs, upgradeable memory and storage, and big batteries.

The new Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series mobile processors feature newly optimized hybrid architecture and industry-leading technology, built for gamers, creators, and professionals who require higher levels of compute performance and the mobility a laptop provides. The Intel Core i9-14900HX, which has eight performance cores (P-cores) and 16 efficient cores (E-cores), is the flagship model of the new HX-series, which combines best-in-class connectivity with outstanding single- and multi-thread performance. Additionally, the HX-series features a leap in creator performance thanks to 50% more E-cores in the Intel Core i7-14700HX processors.

Unveiled at CES 2024, the Predator Helios 16 and 18 have Mini LED displays with a 250Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits of brightness, 32GB of RAM, 4TB of PCIe SSD storage, and all the RGB a gamer can handle in the laptop’s Predator logo, backside lighting bar, and per-key lighting for the keyboard. 

The Predator Helios 16 is perfect for entry-level esports players, students and professionals, and on-the-go gamers. The Predator Helios 18 is an 18-inch laptop with a 5.8 GHz turbo frequency. It delivers up to 17% better gaming performance and up to 51% faster multitasking performance than the competition.
