BACOLOD CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental dismantled a drug den and arrested three persons in a buy-bust operation in Purok Jose Rizal, Barangay 14, this city, on Friday, April 5.
The drug den maintainer, Julius de Pedro Batayen, 39, was apprehended.

Seized from the suspects were eight grams of shabu P54,500, marked money, improvised tooters, lighters, and cash believed to be Bayaten’s proceeds.
The operation was conducted in coordination with the Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) Bravo and the Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG)-Special Operations Unit (SOU)-Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, police arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized 90 grams of suspected shabu worth P612,00 in a buy-bust operation in a rented house in Barangay Mandalagan in Bacolod City on Saturday, April 6.
The PDEG-SOU Western Visayas identified the suspect as Joselito Detoyato, 40, construction worker, of Barangay Mandalagan, a high-value individual and listed on the regional level.
Police seized 18 sachets of shabu and P14,000 boodle money.
Police Major Eugene Tolentino, head of Police Station 8, said the suspect had just been released from jail and drug charges are being readied against the Detoyato who is detained at Police Station 8.
