PAGASA: There is high likelihood of rains in parts of VisMin due to easterlies
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday, April 7 said a high chance of rains is still possible in parts of Visayas and Mindanao due to the prevalence of the easterlies.

In PAGASA’s 4 a.m. public broadcast, weather specialist Grace Castañeda warned the public in some areas of Visayas and Mindanao to be cautious and alert of possible flash floods or landslides that may occur in times of moderate to heavy rains.
PAGASA said Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.
Meanwhile, Castañeda advised those in Luzon to limit outdoor activities, always stay hydrated, and bring protection from direct heat when going out, as hot and humid weather will still prevail due to the easterlies.
In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be felt, while flash floods or landslides are still possible during severe thunderstorms.
Based on the PAGASA’s extended weather outlook from April 8 to 10, the actual air temperatures in some key areas are 24–35°C in Metro Manila, 25-32° in Legazpi City, 16–26°C in Baguio City, 25–33°C in Metro Cebu, 26–33°C in Iloilo City, 25–33°C in Tacloban City, 24–33°C in Metro Davao, 25–34°C in Zamboanga City, and 25–33°C in Cagayan de Oro City.
