PAGASA records 'dangerous' heat indices in 11 areas on April 7
A heat index of 46°C was recorded in Daet, Camarines Norte
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 11 areas in the country had “dangerous” heat indices on April 7.

The highest recorded heat ibdex on Sunday was in Daet, Camarines Norte at 46°C, said PAGASA.
PAGASA recorded a heat index of 44°C in Aparri, Cagayan and in Cotabato City, Maguindanao, while San Jose Occidental, Mindoro had a heat index of 43°C.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 42°C was experienced in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, Aborlan, Palawan; Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; Central Bicol State University if Agriculture (CBSUA) station in Pili, Camarines Sur; Roxas City, Capiz; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Staying hydrated, avoiding long hours of stay outdoors, and bringing protection from direct heat like umbrellas and hats were all reminded by PAGASA.
Heat indices of 42-51°C may cause heat stroke when activity is continued, as heat cramps and heat exhaustion are also likely to be experienced.
