The Marcos administration will turn into the laughing stock of the international community if it gives into the supposed demands of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Makabayan solon ACT Teachers Party-List Rep. France Castro gave this warning to the government Sunday, April 7 even as she clowned Quiboloy--the self-proclaimed "Appointed Son of God"--for insisting on his "privileged status".
"Feelingero talaga hanggang ngayon (Up to now, he still flatters himself)," Castro said in a statement.
"Quiboloy is thumbing his nose at the Marcos administration and if it accedes to his demands, then it would be the laughing stock of the international community for having a justice system that can be bullied," stated the House deputy minority leader.
"Quiboloy should just face the charges against him here and in the US (United States) to prove if he is indeed innocent. He should also attend the hearings in Congress and the Senate instead of just being a fugitive," she said.
"Sa pagtatago niya lalo lang lumalakas ang argumento na mukhang guilty talaga siya," noted Castro.

(Going into hiding strengthens the argument that he appears to be guilty.)
"We urge Quiboloy to face the case against him and dispel any doubts regarding his innocence. Demanding guarantees only perpetuates the perception of guilt. Justice should prevail, and he should face the legal process without further delay," Castro said.
Last month, it was reported that the controversial pastor provided the Senate a list of 17 conditions that had to be met before he could attend its investigation. Needless to say, these demands were dismissed by the solons.
In the end, Quiboloy neither attended the Senate probe nor the separate House of Representatives inquiry despite the issuance of subpoenas.
Quiboloy has been wanted in the US since late 2021 after a California court indicted him for charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, sex trafficking of children, marriage fraud, fraud and misuse of visas, bulk cash smuggling, promotional money laundering, concealment money laundering, and international promotional money laundering.
Quiboloy is the spiritual adviser of former president Rodrigo Duterte.
