For now, Pacquiao's focus is on MPBL

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – No politics in the radar for this man for now.

Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League founder former Sen. Manny Pacquiao said his main focus now is sports despite him having a statistical chance of winning a Senate seat in next year’s elections according to an OCTA survey conducted last month.

Becoming a private citizen, he said, gave him the chance to focus on the league and enabled him to have time with his family.

He thanked respondents for the trust he earned in the survey.

Pacquaio said that the MPBL will expand to include the Junior and inter-barangay MPBL.

The sixth season of the MPBL officially opened here on Saturday, April 6. The event was graced by Pangasinan Gov. Ramon Guico, Alaminos City, Pangasinan Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste, former Bayambang, Pangasinan Mayor Cezar Quiambao, and Mayor Kevin Roy Macanlalay here.
