'Dangerous' heat indices in 7 areas expected on April 7
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said seven areas may experience “dangerous” heat indices on Sunday, April 7.

Based on PAGASA’s latest update, a heat index of 43°C may be felt in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Aparri, Cagayan; and Tugeugarao City, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 42°C may be felt in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Daet, Camarines Norte; and Cotabato City, Maguindanao.
PAGASA said “dangerous” heat indices ranging from 42-51°C may lead to heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke when activity is continued.
The weather bureau advised the public to avoid going out if not necessary and to be always hydrated.
