Tytans Properties Development (TPD), in collaboration with Accor and Pullman, announced its partnership for Pullman Mactan Cebu Hotel and Residences—set to become the world’s largest Pullman property.
The event, led by Tytans Properties Development Chairman Gerard Tan, C9 Hotelworks Managing Director Bill Barnett, and Pullman Chief Development Officer for Asia Andrew Langdon, took place at Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa in Cebu in February 2024. The event also welcomed TPD President Congressman Sonny Lagon and Board Member Congresswoman Daphne Lagon; and Accor Vice President for Development Chris Cho and Director of Development Kash Salvador.
“This is a very proud moment for Tytans Properties Development,” said Tan during the media launch event. “It will surely be a very proud part of our company's history. Accor, renowned for its exceptional hospitality, and Tytans Properties Development, known for its innovative real estate developments, are coming together today to create a powerful synergy that will set new standards in the industry.”

Best of Cebu
TPD views Mactan as the prime location for luxury development, aiming to transform it into the country’s foremost tourist hub while emphasizing the province’s untapped potential.
With its array of world-class attractions such as whale shark encounters in Oslob and sardines run and turtle swims in Moalboal, alongside megastructures like the Philippines' longest suspension bridge, the CCLEX, Cebu offers diverse experiences for all. Its culinary scene, renowned for Cebuano lechon and mangoes, further adds to its allure.
The dedication to bring Pullman Mactan Cebu Hotel and Residences to fruition stems from TPD's vision of showcasing the best of Cebu to the world. By harnessing Cebu’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and strategic location, the project aims to create an unparalleled hospitality experience. Additionally, TPD seeks to elevate the island’s status and enrich the tourism landscape through meticulous planning, innovative design, and a commitment to excellence.
“To support the tourism growth of Cebu, we are building the 200-key Pullman Mactan Cebu Hotel. It is the perfect size, complemented by the second phase of development, featuring three towers of branded residences, with one tower planned to be a service apartment concept for extended stay,” announced Tan.

Branded residences
Pullman Mactan Hotel and Residences will showcase 200 elegant guest rooms and suites, along with 900 branded residences, making it the largest branded residential community in the Philippines.
“This shift, which is attributed to attractive investment yields offered by management programs, coupled with a rising demand for residential-type units, is reshaping lifestyle preferences in the post-pandemic landscape,” exclaimed Barnett on the trend toward branded residences in the Philippines. “Hotel branded residences are redefining luxury living in the Philippines, and I expect this momentum to be sustained, driving the evolution of the country’s property market in the coming years.”
Set to begin construction in 2025 and welcome guests in 2028, the project comprises three towers, each featuring a penthouse. It offers access to cutting-edge amenities and comprehensive facilities, including top-tier restaurants, modern lounges, interactive recreational areas, and innovative corporate spaces.

Global touch
TPD is leading the development of the Pullman project, with Accor overseeing management. The Pullman brand is renowned for creating a vibrant atmosphere for modern travelers and innovative entrepreneurs, seamlessly blending immersive design with cutting-edge hospitality to inspire minds and energize bodies.
“As the business climate and the trends in the hospitality industry are constantly shifting, and post pandemic lifestyles changing, it is comforting to be partners with Accor,” said Tan. “Accor offers experiences across more than 110 countries with a strong network from different parts of the globe. The Pullman brand is known for its trendsetting lifestyle concept, which will suit the landscape that we are in,” he continued.

Garth Simmons, chief operating officer of Accor, Asia, commented: “We are delighted to partner with Tytans Properties Development on this outstanding project that demonstrates Accor’s confidence in and commitment to the promising potential of the Philippines. Cebu City, with its distinctive blend of urban vibrancy and coastal charm, presents an ideal locale to cater to diverse markets. Pullman Mactan Cebu Hotel and Residences will attract a wide variety of homeowners and guests, from leisure enthusiasts to corporate travelers seeking extended stays. This project is poised to redefine premium living and hospitality experiences in Cebu.”
“As we embark on this exciting journey together, let us remember that every decision and action we take should align with the core values that have led us to this point: integrity, excellence, respect for our environment, and giving back to the community where we are developing,” concluded Tan.
