The 28-year-old Tolentino, who is playing in his fourth season in the PBA, knew that staying in shape and keeping a proper mindset will bring him to greater heights.

“Feeling ko sarili ko talagang kulang pa eh, I don't really look at myself as a complete player kasi once na pumasok sa isip ko ‘yon do’n magsisimula ‘yong downfall eh. I think every player ganun naman [mag isip],” Tolentino stressed.

“Everyday routine is to be a better player, to be better than yesterday,” he added.

Tolentino currently averages 24 points, 7.6 rebounds and 5 assists per game, and once again led the Batang Pier in their 112-96 win over the TNT Tropang Giga which stretched their winning run to four.

As an elder to their young team, Tolentino is trying to be an example for his teammates.

“Marami pa talaga, I can score and I can rebound and I got the height, but there’s so much more in the game than talent,” he continued.
