Heat index of 44°C recorded in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on April 6
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said a heat index of 44°C was recorded in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan on Saturday, April 6.

PAGASA said a heat index of 43°C was also felt in Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Aparri, Cagayan, and Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Meanwhile, a heat index of 42°C was recorded in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Cubi Pt. Subic Bay, Olongapo City; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Daet, Camarines Norte; Dumangas, Iloilo; Cotabato City, Maguindanao; and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture station in Pili, Camarines Sur.
Based on PAGASA’s heat index report, the “dangerous” level of heat indices has consistently been recorded since the warm dry season officially started.
Dangerous heat indices may lead to heat stroke when activity is continuous, while heat cramps and heat exhaustion are also possible.
