A total of 3,527 jobs were offered by overseas companies and recruitment agencies at the Overseas Job Fair in Valenzuela City on Friday, April 5.

The event was held at the SM City Valenzuela Event Center in Valenzuela City from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The City’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers and the Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) spearheaded the said event.

According to PESO, recruitment agencies offered job opportunities in countries such as Japan, Oman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Germany, Canada, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
Jobseekers may apply for various positions including nurses, kitchen staff, salesmen, production sewing machine operators, restaurant managers, bartenders, supervisors, teachers, technicians, construction workers, cooks, welders, and waiters and waitresses, among others.

Most of the job offers were “blue collar jobs” which anyone can apply for, not just those with supervisory-level job experience.
The job opportunities were also opened to non-Valenzuela residents.
Several national government agencies such as PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and Technical Education And Skill Development Authority (TESDA) set up booths to assist first-time jobseekers in processing their documents and other requirements for free.
