Arrested by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) were twin brothers Peter Paul and Peter John Espinosa.
They were apprehended after they sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Infante, Molo District.
Suspects yielded 70 grams of shabu valued at P503,000.
The ICPO-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO) under the supervision of Police Lt. Col. Antonio Benitez Jr. listed the 30-year-old twins as high-value individuals in the illegal drugs trade.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrest of the Espinosas happened on the same day that another duo was caught in another buy-bust operation by the ICPO-CDEU.
Both operations were backed by the Molo Police Station and the City Intelligence Unit.
Police Regional office-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky and ICPO Director Police Col. Joeresty Coronica lauded the operating units for their achievements.
“Let us maintain our vigilance, dedication, and hard work. Together let us be committed to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs that harm our youth and hinder community progress,” said Wanky.
