PRO-6 backs Marbil as new PNP chief

ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 (Western Visayas) fully supports new Philippine National Police chief Police Gen. Rommel Francisco Dayleg Marbil.

“Lahat ng instructions at direktiba ng ating bagong Chief PNP ay ating isapuso, susundin, at gagawin, mula sa regional office hangang sa ating mga munisipyo (All the instructions and directives of our Chief PNP should be taken into heart and followed – from the regional office to the municipalities),” said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director.

He assured that the Ligtas na Bagong Pilipinas (Safe New Philippines) campaign of Marbil will be cascaded to all police units in the region.

Wanky has been in his position for less than two months.

He took over last February 19 and vowed to continue with the strong campaign against all forms of criminality, especially the anti-drug campaign.

PRO-6 covers Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
