McDonald’s enhances their "Best-Ever Burger Experience" with new nostalgic sides.
To infuse its menu with a trendy Filipino flavor, McDonald’s pairs the Double Cheeseburger with new items inspired by popular tastes from the 1980s and 1990s.
“By incorporating familiar Filipino flavors into our menu, we are not only catering to the Filipino palate but also creating a shared experience across generations,” said Katrina Lee-Chua, director for marketing and channels in a press statement.
McDonald's PH sent Manila Bulletin Lifestyle these new items to try. The new side options feature Sweet Corn McShaker Fries, offering a sweet and salty flavor infused with a distinct sweet corn taste, shaken into McDonald’s fries.
Millennials, also known as Generation Y, would definitely feel nostalgic with this new sweet corn taste. Who didn't grow up munching on snacks flavored with this sweet-savory taste?
Also new are the ChocNut Sundae and McCafe ChocNut Frappe, featuring the chocolatey, nutty sweetness of the beloved Filipino treat known to all kids from the '80s and '90s.
“With our 'Best-Everrr Burgers' and new nostalgic sides, we aim to create unforgettable moments and deliver feel-good experiences that keep our fans of all ages coming back for more,” said Lee-Chua.
McDonald’s Sweet Corn McShaker Fries come in Medium, Large, or BFF sizes, available standalone or as a meal upgrade. The ChocNut Sundae can be enjoyed separately or added to your meal for P55, while the ChocNut Frappe is offered in Medium and Large sizes or as a drink upgrade at McCafe branches.
