Did Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador behave impolitely, or was she simply expressing her honesty?

This comes after Janella became a hot topic online for allegedly refusing to perform her song during a recent guest appearance on 'It's Showtime' on GMA Network.

"Sample naman Janella sa bago mong song," said one of the hosts of the program. Janella has just released her latest single "headtone" under Star Music.

Janella responded: "Medyo paos ako ngayon. Kayo na lang. Next time. Promise."

Some netizens deemed Janella's response as disrespectful.

A fan of Janella tweeted to defend her answer.

"I don't know what you guys found disrespectful about this one. She clearly stated na 'paos' siya and was not in her best condition to give us a heartfelt performance. So let's all respect that. Not every Declined Request equals Disrespect. Let's all remember that," the netizen wrote.

Janella issued a statement on the controversy.

"Oh wow. I’ve been meaning to explain myself because the last thing i would ever want is to appear rude or disrespectful… and here i am being met with so much love and comfort upon opening this app. Thank you. It makes me happy to know that there are many people out there who know my heart and what i stand for. Hugs of gratitude (from behind)."
