Eastridge zooms to an 18-point lead in CGFI golf

Jeffren Lumbo, Cliff Nunesa, and Rolando Bregente scored 35, 32, and 25 respectively for total of 131 points for Eastridge.

Jhondie Quibol carded 39 points to lead Eastridge to a commanding 18-point lead over JBA Construction in the first round of the championship division of the 2nd Cordillera Golfers Foundation, Inc. Tournament at the Baguio Country Club on Thursday, April 4.

Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Cordilleran professional golfers Mars Pucay and Danny Zarate, and CGFI President Arnel Peil graced the ceremonial tee off of the 2nd CGFI tournament.

Jeffren Lumbo, Cliff Nunesa, and Rolando Bregente scored 35, 32, and 25 respectively for total of 131 points for Eastridge.

Cris Remata had 31 points to lead scorers for JBA Construction with Roy Nudalo adding 30 and Loyd Labrador and Demeterio Sanchez chipping in 26 points each.

Cordillera’s Luigi Paolo Wong of House of Yogurt fired 34 points with Zyrah Floriann De Leon, Rhanz Louie Balay-odao, and Miguel So Hu contributing 26, 23, and 16 in that order for total of 100 points.

In seniors A, Ricky Libago aced hole 9 of Pinewoods Golf & Country Club and had 31 to lead Tesco to an opening 108. He got ample support from Ryan Abdon, Raul Magpantay and Theody Pascual who combined for 77. Sagada Construction and DevCo followed with a 69.

The Raffy Tulfo in Action North led the regular A with 121 points. Grumpy Joe is four back with 117 and Bravo Zulu is in third with 114.

The top three in regular B are Baguio Blue Bloods Eagles (92), Tropang Hambog (89) and IGolfers USA-1 (84).
