Seventeen's best album '17 Is Right Here' sells over 2 million copies on first day of release

K-pop idol group Seventeen sold more than two million copies of their best album “17 Is Right Here” on the first day of release.  

Seventeen released “17 Is Right Here” on April 29, composed of two CDs containing four new songs, Korean versions of eight previously-released Japanese lead singles, 20 lead singles from past Korean releases, and a digital-only instrumental version of the group’s debut single, “Adore U.”

According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, “17 Is Right Here” sold 2.26 million copies on April 29. 

The first day sales of Seventeen's previous albums were 3.28 million copies for “Seventeenth Heaven” and 3.99 million copies for “FML.” 

The total copies sold on the first day of release for “17 Is Right Here” got an equivalent of 4.18 million in physical record index score, a proprietary system that Hanteo Chart uses to rank albums, incorporating the total copies sold and album price. 

“Seventeenth Heaven” eventually sold 5.09 million copies in the first week of release while “FML” sold 4.55 million copies. 

Meanwhile, Seventeen's "Maestro" music video has garnered 12.21 million views on YouTube in 21 hours since its release on April 29.
