P1.8-M shabu seized in Iloilo buy-bust


ILOILO CITY – A drug pusher was arrested and suspected shabu worth P1.8-million was seized in a buy-bust operation in in Barangay Lico-an, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo on April 29.

The suspect was identified as alias Riz, 38.

Riz was caught by the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 of the Police Regional Office-6. Recovered from the suspect was 265 grams of shabu.

This was the biggest drug seizure so far under the leadership of Police Col. Bayani Razalan, acting director of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) and concurrent chief of PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office.

“This is another major breakthrough in our intensified campaign against illegal drugs. Your dedication to duty is truly commendable. Congratulations for a job well done!” said Razalan.

The operation was also in line with the thrust of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rommel Marbil and PRO-6 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky.
