Kidnapped Chinese released in Imus

CAVITE – A kidnapped Chinese national was safely released in Imus City on Sunday, April 28.

An official of the Imus City Police Station identified the victim as Zhang Yang, a 35-year-old resident of Makati City.

The victim was reportedly left by his abductors inside a fast-food restaurant in Brgy. Malagasang 1-G after his family transferred the ransom amount of $18,000, equivalent to over P1 million, to the account of the kidnappers.

Authorities are investigating the case and are working to identify the suspects.
