The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that applications for the August 2024 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for professional and subprofessional levels will be accepted from May 13 to June 13.
The 2024 CSE-PPT will be held on Aug. 11.
“Acceptance of applications shall be on a first-come, first-served basis and may be closed any time before the deadline once the CSC Regional/Field Office has already reached the target number of applicants,” CSC said in an advisory.
Interested applicants must be Filipino citizens, at least 18 years old on the date of application, and possess good moral character.
In addition, they must not have been convicted by final judgment of any offense or crime involving moral turpitude, disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or drug addiction.
Furthermore, they must not have been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government.
Likewise, applicants should not have taken the same level of Career Service Examination, either through PPT or CSC Computerized Examination, within three months of the exam date.
CSC said the CSE aims to establish a Register of Eligibles (RoE) from which certification and appointment to first and second-level civil service positions—except those involving the practice of profession and/or are being covered by special laws—shall be made, provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements for the positions.
The RoE may also be a reference for employment in the private sector.
CSC said test results for the August 2024 CSE-PPT may be released on Oct. 20.
