AFP, PNP urged to ensure stability of PBBM gov’t


ILOILO CITY – Presidential Adviser on Military and Police Affairs Secretary Roman Felix urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to ensure the stability of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

“Let us defend the duly and constituted authority at all times,” Roman said in an activity in Camp Delgado, the headquarters of Police Regional Office-6, here on Monday, April 29.

He issued the remarks amid the on and off attacks from former President Rodrigo Duterte against the Marcos administration. He had a close-door meeting with various high-ranking police and military officers in Western Visayas during the gathering.

Roman assisted PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky in awarding outstanding policemen from Western Visayas.

Awarded the Medalya ng Kadakilaan were Police Capt. Ryan Christ Inot of the PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Major Kenneth Jay Gratones of the EB Magalona Municipal Police Station in Negros Occidental province.

 The Medalya ng Kagalingan was awarded to Police Capt. Gelbert Batiles of the Batan Municipal Police Station in Aklan province.

The Medalya ng Papuri was awarded to Police Capt. Felimon Espinosa of the Regional Maritime Unit.

A posthumous award was given to Police Corporal Reo Nograles Manero who was killed while conducting surveillance against a drug suspect in Pototan town, Iloilo province last April 8. The award was received by Manero’s widow Aiza.
