39 areas could have heat indices between 42°C and 49°C on April 30
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said 39 areas may face “dangerous” heat indices on Tuesday, April 30.

PAGASA said a heat index of 49 degrees Celsius (°C) may be felt in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, while a heat index of 47°C may be experienced in Aparri, Cagayan.
A heat index of 46°C may be felt in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, while a heat index of 45°C may be recorded in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Bacnotan, La Union; Iba, Zambales; Coron, Palawan; Aborlan, Palawan; and Central Bicol State University (CBSUA) station in Pili, Camarines Sur.
In Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Isabela State University (ISU) station in Echague, Isabela; Central Luzon State University (CLSU) in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija; Baler, Aurora; Cubi Pt., Subic Bay, Olongao; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Virac, Catanduanes; Iloilo City, Iloilo; and Dumangas, Iloilo, a heat index of 44°C may be experienced.
Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) in Batac, Ilocos Norte; Clark Airport, Pampanga; Casiguran, Aurora; Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Masbate, City; Masbate; Roxas City, Capiz; Mambusao, Capiz; La Granja, La Carlota, Negros Occidental; Guiuan, Eastern Samar; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur may have a heat index of 43°C.
A heat index of 42°C may also be recorded in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City; Science Garden in Quezon City; Calayan, Cagayan; Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya; Sangley Point, Cavite; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; Daet, Camarines, Norte; Legazpi City, Albay; Catarman, Northern Samar; Catbalogan, Samar; and Tacloban City, Leyte.
