VIRAL: Man who took April fools' tattoo challenge receives gifts from individuals and businesses
His reason is to provide for his 16-year-old son, who has Down syndrome
The local food business faced criticism online when a man named Ramil Albano took their tattoo challenge seriously, agreeing to tattoo their brand on his forehead in exchange for prize money.
Ramil Albano, from Leyte, promptly visited a tattoo artist to get the brand on his forehead, documenting the process with photos to demonstrate his commitment. He also sent a direct message to secure his position as the first challenger and the clear winner.

The local food business posted a now-deleted Facebook message on April 1, claiming that anyone who tattoos the store's logo on their forehead would win a P100,000 prize. However, the full photo shows it was just an April Fools’ Day prank.
Ramil went viral on social media after mistaking the post for a real challenge. He gained sympathy from other businesses, especially as his story about his child with Down Syndrome spread online.
Several people and businesses reached out to Ramil to offer assistance with his participation in the tattoo challenge.
After receiving criticisms from netizens, the owners of the Pinoy Takoyaki store visited Ramil and gave a cash reward to a father who fell victim to their tattoo challenge, which was actually an April Fools' joke.
Ramil said he only saw the instructions but missed the disclaimer at the end stating it was an April Fools’ joke.
When asked about his motivation for taking on the challenge, Ramil shared that he was driven by the financial incentive to support his 16-year-old son, who has Down syndrome.
“Para sa bunso kong anak, pang-tuition ng anak ko, service ng anak ko na may Down syndrome (For my youngest child, for my child's tuition, for my child's service who has Down syndrome),” he told the owners of Taragis.
Ramil's son not only received a cash prize but also got treated to his favorite fast-food chain.
The owners offered to have the tattoo removed by a professional, but Ramil declined. “Hindi na. Sa una mahirap eh siyempre kailangan eh para sa anak ko (Not anymore. In the beginning, it was difficult, of course I needed it for my child).”
