The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Wednesday, April 3 said virtual planetarium shows and free telescoping and stargazing sessions will be held in celebration of the Global Astronomy Month (GAM).

PAGASA said GAM is the largest annual celebration of astronomy around the globe that happens every April.
“GAM is the flagship program of Astronomers Without Borders to encourage everyone to observe and admire the wonders of the universe,” PAGASA said.
Teachers and students in elementary schools will see the virtual planetarium show on April 19 and those in high schools on April 26. It will be conducted via Zoom.
Meanwhile, the free telescoping and stargazing sessions will be conducted at the PAGASA Astronomical Observatory on April 10, 17, and 24, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
PAGASA advised the interested individuals to scan the codes to register.
