Ex-cop held for drugs in Pangasinan

URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan â€“ An ex-policeman was arrested for illegal drugs during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Bayaoas here on Wednesday morning, April 3.

A STREET in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. An ex-policeman was arrested in the city for illegal drugs on April 3.

Police identified suspect as Ramon, a high-value individual and regional top priority target on illegal drugs.

Ramon, who is Absent without Leave, was nabbed on a search warrant dated April 1, 2024 and served by the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 1.

The document was issued by Judge Mervin Jovito S. Samadan, Executive Judge, Dagupan City Regional Trial Court Branch 40.

The suspect yielded three transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 10 grams worth P68,000 and drug paraphernalia.

Ramon is under police custody and being prepared for inquest proceedings.
